Safety Rules

  • Follow rink staff instructions at all times.
  • Be kind and polite to everyone. Pass other skaters with care.
  • Skate in an anti-clockwise direction.
  • Use the sides for support if needed.
  • Wear gloves and warm clothes. Tighten your boots properly.
  • Keep your clothes and items secure. The rink is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Do not skate in big groups or carry anyone while skating.
  • Only enter the ice with skates on. Do not sit or climb on the sides.
  • Do not use mobile phones or other electronic devices while skating.
  • Eat and drink in designated areas only. Smoking, vaping and skating under the influence of drugs or alcohol are strictly prohibited.
  • Do not litter or drop items on the ice. Use skating aids slowly and responsibily.
  • Consult your doctor before skating if you have a health condition.
  • The rink is not suitable for advanced or fast skating, tricks, or jumps.
  • Do not enter the ice or lean over the barrier during ice resurfacing.

Important Information

  • Speak with staff if you have questions, concerns, spot hazards, or sustain an injury.
  • Do not act in a way that may cause injury to yourself or others. Non-compliance may result in removal without refund.
  • Children under 16 must be supervised from a viewing area by a responsible adult. Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied on the ice by a responsible, ticket-holding adult.
  • Children under 3 and those who cannot walk without support are not permitted on the ice.
  • Participation is at your own risk. Be aware of risks such as changing ice conditions, collisions, slips, trips, falls, and contact with obstacles. Consider if you can safely participate without endangering others or yourself.
  • Do not participate if you are pregnant, have mobility issues, are on prescribed drugs, have a high predisposition to injury (due to age, weight, or other factors), or have current or previous medical conditions, including cardiovascular or heart problems, recently broken bones, knee problems, joint problems, dislocations, or head injuries.
  • Personal accident insurance is recommended. The rink’s insurance does not cover personal injuries.

Waiver

Participation is at your own risk. Be aware of risks such as changing ice conditions, collisions, slips, trips, falls, and contact with obstacles. By entering the ice-rink or event, you acknowledge and assume these inherent risks for yourself and any minors or dependents in your care.

By participating, you agree that the waiver applies to you and your entire group, including children, friends, students, and any other individuals you are responsible for.

Please read and understand the waiver before participating. The Event Organiser is not liable for injury, loss, or damage except where legally required.

Emergency Procedures

  • Exit by your nearest marked fire exit if the fire alarm sounds.
  • Follow the instructions of marshals.
  • Avoid blocking exits from the ice or marquee.
  • Walk at a reasonable pace, but do not run.
  • Do not return to skate hire or the rink until being informed it is safe to do so.

CCTV, Filming and Photography

Security and 24 hour CCTV cameras are utilised across the Event Area and ice-rink for insurance, fraudulent claims, safety and to assist with queries or complaints. All images, video and audio may be retained for more than 5 years.

Photography or filming by the Event Organiser or authorized third parties may be used for promotional purposes. Speak with the rink supervisor if you do not wish to be featured.

Permission is required from the Event Organiser to film, photograph, or record audio professionally or for commercial gain. Restrictions may apply at any time.
